In the waiting rooms at Stakes Lodge and Forest End surgeries, you will find our Surgery Pods. These can be used to check your blood pressure and automatically record the result in your medical record, as well as measure your weight and BMI. They are free to use and no appointment is needed.

Our Surgery Pods are due to undergo their routine annual maintenance and will be unavailable over the next few weeks. The maintenance will be carried out one pod at a time, meaning one Surgery Pod will remain available while the other is out of use.

If the Surgery Pod is unavailable, you can still monitor your blood pressure by borrowing a blood pressure machine from your local library or by visiting the Horizon Wellbeing Hub during its opening hours.
