In 2024 38% of staff reported that they had experienced harassment, bullying or abuse from patients or their relatives. 14% of our staff reported that they had experienced physical violence at work from patients or their relatives.
We believe that no member of our staff should have to work in fear.
Please be aware that any aggressive, violent, intimidating or unnacceptable behaviour will result in you being asked to leave the premises, and staff are instruced to call for Police assistance in these instances. In these situations you may also be notified of your immediate removal from our patient list and would reslt in you needing to register elsewhere.
Examples of unacceptable behaviours:
- Any physical violence
- Threatening or offensive language
- Racial abuse
- Sexual harassment
- Any discriminatory harrasment or abuse
- Alcohol or drug use on practice premises
- Desctruction or damage of practice, staff, or patient's property
- Theft
