Travelling Abroad for more than 3 months?

Did you know that if you are out of the country for more than 3 months you may be removed from the practice list?
The NHS is a residence-based healthcare system, and if you're moving abroad on a permanent basis you'll no longer automatically be entitled to medical treatment in the UK. Therefore, if we become aware that you are out of the country for 3 months or more, we will remove you from the practice list.
Prescriptions and Medications
We can only prescribe medications for up to a maximum of three months, and if you need more medication than this you will have to see a healthcare professional in the country you are residing in.
Travellers should also check regulations in the country you are visiting, as some prescription drugs require licensing, or may be illegal.
