Cancelling Appointments

Each month approx 50 appointments are lost by patients not attending their appointment. This wastes the time of the doctors, nurses and receptionists, and prevents other patients from being seen.

If you are unable to attend your appointment please let us know and cancel it. If you persistently fail to attend without cancelling,  you may be asked to re-register with another practice. The Patient Access online system also allows patients to cancel appointments.

Home Visits

If you are too ill to attend the surgery, please telephone the surgery before 10.30am.

The receptionist  will ask you to provide some details about the nature of your call and the doctor will contact you for an assessment  before visiting. Regrettably, social circumstances, e.g: lack of transport or child minding problems, are not valid reasons for a home visit.
